Pause

Pause opens just as you're about to pay online. Before you confirm, you see: • what your basket costs in hours of your work ("€61 = 5.5 h of your work"); • what it means in things you love ("that's 10 matchas"), with tokens that fall one by one while you hesitate; • what's left of your monthly shopping budget; • the rules of your pact this purchase breaks: after 11 pm, instalment payment, budget exceeded. Three buttons: Wait until tomorrow, Let it go, Buy anyway. Pause never blocks a purchase. If you wait or let it go, the amount is added to your savings goal counter. If you wait, Pause keeps your basket and asks you again the next day at noon. You write your pact once, calmly: salary, goal, rules. Tightening a rule applies immediately; loosening it takes 24 hours, long enough for the urge to pass. Make it yours: five themes (Pause, Clean girl, Finance bro, Focus, or your own three colours), your own equivalents, in English, French, Spanish or German, in euros, pounds, dollars or Swiss francs. Your data stays on your device. No account, no server, no ads, no commission on your purchases. Uninstalling Pause deletes everything. Prototype being tested: checkout detection improves shop by shop. If Pause can't find the total of a basket, it asks you.
