About Pak-a-boo: Eye Rest

Pak-a-boo (พัก-กะ-boo) — a ghost that peeks in to make you พัก (rest). NEW in v1.3.0 — pick your own rhythm: Twenty minutes doesn't suit every desk. You can now set the gap between breaks straight from the popup: stay on 20 for the 20-20-20 rule, or move to 30 if that sits better with how you work. Both are rhythms the experts actually recommend — 20 is what eye doctors advise for screen strain, and 30 matches the sit-stand-move cycle ergonomists use. ------------------------------------------ Long stretches at the screen quietly wreck your eyes, neck, and posture. Pak-a-boo interrupts that with a single, unified rhythm — not four separate nagging timers — so breaks feel like a rhythm, not a barrage: • Every 20 minutes: a 20-second eye break (look 20 feet away) • Every hour: a bigger 2–3 minute break — stand up, stretch, drink water, guided through simple office-syndrome relief poses The ghost escalates gently if you ignore it — a quiet peek first, then floating in to ask, then (if you really ignore it) a dramatic flop-nap in the middle of your screen until you take the hint. It's never angry, never blocks your screen, and always dismissible in one click. Built for real work days: • Focus mode — pause for an hour with one click when you need to lock in • Idle-aware — steps away from your desk don't get punished; long absences are treated as a break already taken • Bilingual — full English and Thai support, switchable anytime, including Thai-specific office-syndrome (ออฟฟิศซินโดรม) stretches Streaks & skins: Every day you complete at least one break, your streak grows. Keep it going and your ghost earns new looks — permanently: a little sprout at a 2-day streak, headphones at 5, a tiny crown at 7. Every look you've already earned stays yours to wear. Privacy first: Pak-a-boo has no accounts, no backend, and no analytics. Everything — your schedule, your streak, your settings — stays on your device in Chrome's local storage. Nothing is ever sent anywhere.
