The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Page Image Collector - Batch Image Download, Preview & ZIP
Page Image Collector is a Chrome extension for collecting images during everyday browsing. It helps you scan a page, filter the results, preview images, copy links, download files in batches, and archive selected images as ZIP packages.
The extension recognizes common image sources such as `img`, `picture`, `srcset`, lazy-loading `data-*` fields, and CSS background images. For dynamic feeds, masonry pages, and infinite scrolling pages, you can continue scanning manually, enable auto collection, or use auto scroll to let newly loaded images join the same tab's result set.
Main features:
- Popup for quick scanning, filtering, copying, downloading, auto scroll, auto collection, comic mode, and right-click unlock
- Workspace for large collections, with grid and masonry layouts, virtualized grid rendering for large result sets, lightbox preview, fullscreen viewing, keyboard navigation, drag selection, and hidden-image management
- Filters for image format, resolution presets, minimum short edge, minimum long edge, minimum pixel count, portrait-only view, and large-to-small sorting
- Smart merging for common URL parameter differences, size variants, and accessible original-image candidates
- Image format detection based on payload when URL extensions or query parameters are unreliable
- Batch actions for copying links, downloading images one by one, converting compatible images to JPG when enabled, and exporting ZIP packages
- ZIP packaging with progress feedback and automatic split-volume output for large batches; split settings are managed in Workspace
- Experimental comic mode that keeps reading order, detects pagination heuristically, and loads later pages only after user confirmation
- Right-click menu actions for scanning the current page, scanning in comic mode, unlocking page right-click restrictions, and viewing/copying/downloading original images from image elements
- Local-first behavior: collection results and settings stay in the browser; no developer server is required for normal use
- Extension UI supports Chinese and English. First run follows the browser language, and manual language selection is saved locally.
Scope notes:
- Chrome-restricted pages such as `chrome://` pages, extension management pages, and Chrome Web Store pages cannot be scanned by normal extension injection.
- Pure Canvas or WebGL-rendered content usually cannot be extracted as original image files.
- Strict anti-hotlinking, temporary signed URLs, login-gated resources, delayed scripts, inner scroll containers, or virtualized lists may limit what can be collected or downloaded.
- Auto collection on very large dynamic pages and very large ZIP tasks may use more browser resources.
