Paace: Video Speed Controller

Paace is a video speed controller that remembers your playback speed. Set it once, and every video plays at your speed: YouTube, course sites, news sites, X and embedded videos. Most speed extensions forget you between videos, or make you learn keyboard shortcuts. Paace works the way you watch. • One default speed for every video Pick the speed you like, from 0.1× to 16×, and every video on every site starts there. Speed up lectures and tutorials, or slow down anything you want to follow closely. • Saved speeds for the sites you use YouTube at 1.5×, courses at 1.75×, everything else at 1×. Each site keeps its own playback speed, and it holds through new videos, autoplay and browser restarts. • Change just this video Hover the top corner of any video for − and +. It changes the video you're watching and nothing else, so dropping a fight to 1× doesn't touch your YouTube speed. The next video goes back to your saved speed. Like a speed? Save it for the site in one click. • Quiet by design Nothing sits on your video until you hover it. Turn on "Show speed while playing" if you'd like to see it, in the top right or top left corner. • Holds your speed through YouTube's resets YouTube resets the playback speed on every new video and around ads. Paace quietly puts yours back. Ads play at normal speed, then your speed returns. • Audio too Podcasts and web audio players follow the same speeds. Pitch is kept natural, so voices don't sound chipmunked. • Keyboard shortcuts if you want them Turn on > and < to speed up or slow down the video you're watching. Off by default, and they never fire while you're typing. • Private Paace has no account, no analytics and makes no network requests.
