It stores a revocable capture credential and your capture and language preferences. To restore the code-entry screen while you check your inbox, it temporarily stores only the validated email and request/expiry timestamps. They become logically invalid ten minutes after the request and are never restored afterward. Successful sign-in or an email change removes them immediately. Because Chrome alarms do not wake a sleeping device, physical removal may occur when a missed alarm fires after wake or at the next extension worker or Chrome startup. For capture, the extension reads the supported same-origin response locally and sends only provider, native conversation ID, title, message/activity timestamps, capture method, and size-bounded user/assistant plain text to overedge.ai. If the API is unavailable, it sends visible user/assistant plain text in the same projected format. It does not send attachments, citations, tool/system/developer messages, vendor-specific metadata, or the full API response. Only provider(s) actually configured in production among Google Gemini, Vercel AI Gateway, Hugging Face, or Anthropic may process the transmitted conversation for summary and classification. Vercel hosts the app/API, Supabase provides email authentication and account-scoped database storage, and Resend processes the recipient email address and transactional email content to deliver Supabase verification codes and invitations. Resend does not process captured conversation content. Users can delete stored private records from Today Research or Briefing.
