Organize Downloads by Date

Tired of a messy Downloads folder? Organize Downloads by Date automatically sorts every file you download into a structured hierarchy based on the current date (e.g., Downloads/2025/11/file.png). No more searching through thousands of loose files—everything is filed away instantly. Key Features: 📂 Automatic Sorting: Works in the background to organize files the moment they are downloaded. 📅 Date-Based Structure: Creates a logical folder tree (Year > Month) for easy archiving. 🚀 Lightweight & Fast: Uses a modern Service Worker for zero impact on browser performance. 🔒 Privacy-First: Runs 100% locally on your machine. No data is ever collected or sent to the cloud. How it works: Simply install the extension and continue browsing as usual. Your next download will automatically be placed in a subfolder corresponding to the current year and month. Original concept by Lucas Bustamante, modernized and maintained by Fred Deichler.
