Open in Similarweb™

Click the toolbar button and the site you're on opens in Similarweb in a new tab, right next to the current one. You don't have to copy the address, trim it down to the domain and paste it into a search box. You can also use the keyboard shortcut Alt+Shift+S, or right-click. Right-clicking a page gives you "Open this site in Similarweb", and right-clicking a link lets you check the site the link points to without visiting it first. The extension strips "www." so www.example.com and example.com lead to the same report. Other subdomains are kept as they are. On pages Similarweb has no data for, like browser settings pages, localhost or IP addresses, the button does nothing. Permissions The extension asks for two permissions. "activeTab" lets it read the address of the current tab, and only at the moment you click the button, the shortcut or the menu item. "contextMenus" adds the right-click items. It can't see your browsing history, doesn't run on the pages you visit and doesn't collect or send any data. The only thing it does is open a Similarweb page in a new tab. This extension is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Similarweb Ltd. Similarweb is a trademark of Similarweb Ltd.
