About Online Drawing Pad
Online Drawing Pad is a drawing pad and collaborative whiteboard that lives in your browser β a full drawing board you can open in a tab or right beside any webpage in Chrome's side panel.
Sketch shapes and diagrams, write notes, doodle freehand, and when you want company, start an end-to-end encrypted live session and draw together in real time.
No account, no sign-up. Your drawings stay on your device, and even during collaboration the relay server only ever sees encrypted data.
π¨ A Complete Drawing Board
β‘οΈ Rectangles, diamonds and ellipses β with clean hand-drawn styling
β‘οΈ Arrows that bind to shapes and follow them when you move things around
β‘οΈ Lines, freehand pen drawing, and a proper eraser
β‘οΈ Text anywhere, or text bound inside shapes
β‘οΈ Sticky notes in four pastel colors β drop one on the board and type straight into it
β‘οΈ Insert images onto the canvas
β‘οΈ Laser pointer for presenting, tool lock for repeating shapes
β‘οΈ Snap to objects, grid mode, zen mode and view-only mode
β‘οΈ Light, dark and system theme + canvas background colors
β‘οΈ Undo/redo, zoom controls, and keyboard shortcuts for every tool
π€ Live Collaboration, End-to-End Encrypted
β‘οΈ Start a session and get room credentials to share
β‘οΈ Friends paste the credentials (or open your link) and draw with you live
β‘οΈ Everyone's cursor shows up with a fun name like "Advanced Wombat"
β‘οΈ The whiteboard is encrypted in your browser before anything is sent β the key stays in the credentials, so the server can never read your drawing
β‘οΈ Stop the session anytime; your drawing stays with you
π Side Panel Mode β Draw Alongside Any Webpage
Turn on Side panel in the extension popup and the whole whiteboard opens beside the page you are reading β sketch notes while you research, diagram what you are learning, or doodle on a call. The side panel and the full-tab app share the same autosaved canvas, so you can start small and continue full-screen.

β Use the laser pointer when presenting over a call
β Sticky notes are regular elements β move, resize, recolor and undo them like anything else
β Turn on Side panel mode to sketch while you read β same canvas, same autosave
β Save bigger projects to a .excalidraw file so you can version them
β FAQ
βΊ Do I need an account?
No β no sign-up and no login, for any feature. Install it and start drawing; live collaboration works the same way.
βΊ How do collaboration rooms work?
Click Share β Start session. You get a "roomId,key" credentials string. Anyone who pastes it into "Join a room" (or opens your link) draws on the same whiteboard live. The key part never reaches the server, so only room members can decrypt the drawing.
βΊ Is my drawing private?
Yes. Drawings are stored locally in your browser. During live sessions the data is end-to-end encrypted before it leaves your device β the relay only forwards ciphertext.
βΊ Does it work offline?
Yes β drawing, autosave, files and export all work offline. Only live collaboration needs a connection.
βΊ Can I use it as a simple sketch pad?
Of course. Open it, grab the pen, doodle. The whiteboard features are there when you need them.
