📌 How to Enable "Allow Access to File URLs"
If the extension isn't working on local files (e.g., file:// paths), please follow these steps to manually grant access:
Open Google Chrome and go to the extensions management page:
chrome://extensions/
Make sure "Developer mode" is turned ON (toggle in the top-right corner).
Find the "Omni Unit Converter" extension in the list.
Click the "Details" button.
Scroll down and locate the setting:
"Allow access to file URLs"
Toggle the switch ON (enable it).
Refresh any open local file pages or restart Chrome if needed.
⚠️ Note: This setting is disabled by default by Chrome for security reasons, even if the extension requests it. You only need to enable it once, and the extension will work perfectly on local files afterward.
