OKNO - Background Sound Recorder

OKNO – Background Sound Recorder lets you record high-quality audio from one selected Chrome tab while continuing to use your computer normally. Start recording from a music, video, radio or web application tab, then switch tabs, close the OKNO popup, minimise Chrome or work in another application. The recording remains locked to the original tab, so audio playing elsewhere is never added to your recording. This means you can silently record audio from Tab A while watching or listening to something completely different in Tab B. Only the selected recording tab is included in the resulting MP3. AUTOMATIC SILENCE STOP After meaningful audio has been detected, OKNO monitors the selected source for continuous silence. When the configured silence duration is reached, the recording stops and the MP3 downloads automatically. If audio returns during the countdown, automatic stopping is cancelled and the same recording continues. LOCAL AND PRIVATE All audio capture, analysis and MP3 encoding happen locally on your device. OKNO does not upload recordings, tab information or usage data. It contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, cloud processing, account system or remote audio conversion. OKNO does not record your microphone, webcam, screen or system-wide computer audio. Please record only audio that you are authorised to capture. OKNO does not bypass DRM or protected-media restrictions and can record only audio Chrome makes available through its supported tab-capture system.
