The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Octoclip Capture
Take useful web content with you.
Octoclip Capture is a free browser extension that helps you bring information from webpages into your notes, research, knowledge base, or next AI conversation. Capture the content you need, review the result, then copy it or save a Markdown file.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Choose your scope
Capture the whole page or the main article. To capture selected text, select it on the page before opening the extension.
• Keep meaningful structure
Preserve supported headings, lists, links, image references, code, tables, and formulas. Supported selected options, checked controls, and expanded sections can also retain useful context. Results depend on the webpage.
• Keep a path back to the source
Optionally include the page URL, title, capture time, and available metadata when copying or saving.
• Preview, copy, or save
Check the captured content before using it. Copy it to your clipboard or save a local .md file, then paste or import it into your preferred tool.
LOCAL PROCESSING
Capture and conversion run locally in your browser, without a remote conversion or AI service. Browser storage keeps your preferences and the current capture task so you can return to the preview.
FREE AND INDEPENDENT
No account or Octoclip app is required. You decide where the output goes; Capture does not automatically send it to an AI model or the Octoclip app.
A FEW THINGS TO KNOW
Capture works with page content available at capture time. Unloaded content, browser-protected pages, inaccessible embedded content, and unusually large pages may be unavailable or incomplete. Some complex structures may remain as HTML within the Markdown. Review the result before using or sharing it.
