Noise — Video Audio Enhancer

Make video speech easier to hear — with less background noise, more even volume and an adjustable equalizer. Noise improves the audio of your chosen browser tab while it plays. Use it for YouTube videos, quiet lectures, interviews, podcasts and archive recordings. No downloading or uploading the video is needed. Choose the tools that fit your recording: - Reduce background noise with RNNoise or GTCRN, and adjust the mix with the original audio. - Level speech volume: reduce differences between quiet and loud phrases, with added gain for more comfortable listening. - Adjust the equalizer: Low, Mid and Clarity controls let you tune the tone of the voice. - Reduce mains hum at 50 or 60 Hz and its harmonics. - Compare Original and Processed audio at any time. - Keep separate audio settings for each tab. The extension icon shows which tabs are being processed. Getting started: 1. Play a video in Chrome and open Noise in that tab. 2. Select Enable cleaning. Adjust Even out speech for uneven or quiet phrases, Noise reduction for background noise, and the Equalizer for tone. 3. Compare Original and Processed on the same passage. Use a gentler setting if speech sounds unnatural. Audio processing runs on your device. Noise does not capture your microphone or camera, record audio to files or send audio to a server. Models are bundled with the extension. No account is required. The interface is available in 28 languages. Noise remembers your language choice across tabs and browser restarts. Designed for speech playback. Results depend on the recording: processing can affect music, raise remaining background noise or introduce artifacts. Speech leveling is not an unlimited volume booster and cannot recover missing words. Noise does not export processed video or audio files.
