The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About No AI — clean search
🚫 Google results without AI Overview. Nothing to configure.
⚡ Instant — the AI Overview doesn't even appear for half a second
🔒 Zero data collected, zero servers, zero injected scripts
🖱️ One click to disable, one click to re-enable
Google now places an "AI Overview" above its search results: an automatically generated answer that pushes real web results below the fold and inserts itself between your question and its sources.
This extension makes it disappear.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
⚙️ HOW IT WORKS
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
No magic, and above all no analysis of your pages. The extension adds the udm=14 parameter to your searches, which is Google's official "Web" filter. Google then returns classic web results, without an AI-generated answer.
The URL is rewritten by Chrome BEFORE the request is sent. Three concrete consequences:
✅ The AI Overview never has time to appear — no block flashing for half a second before disappearing.
✅ No script is injected into Google pages. The extension doesn't read, modify, or transmit the content of what you're browsing.
✅ No extra navigation clutters your history.

🖱️ USAGE
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Nothing to configure. The extension is active as soon as it's installed.
One click on its icon disables it: it turns gray and displays the OFF badge. Another click re-enables it. Your choice is remembered when Chrome restarts.

These tabs continue to work normally. They are never redirected.

⚠️ WHAT THE EXTENSION DOESN'T DO
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
In the interest of honesty, the limitations are acknowledged and documented:
▪️ The "AI Mode" tab remains visible in Google's navigation. Hiding it would require a script injected into the page, dependent on internal Google selectors that break with every interface redesign. A tab you simply don't click on didn't justify that cost.
▪️ The "Web" filter also removes the knowledge panel (the side box) and the "People also ask" block. That's the behavior of Google's official filter, not a side effect: asking for web results means asking for web results only.
▪️ Only Google is handled. No other search engine.

🔒 PRIVACY
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
No data collected. No data transmitted. No servers.
The extension only requests two permissions:
🔹 declare a redirect rule
🔹 remember whether you've enabled it or not
It has no access to your tabs, page content, or browsing history. It makes no outgoing network connections.
