The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About New Tab Page
Today, Google Chrome's default "new tab" page does not let you fully customize its set of links, and is limited in other ways.
This "New Tab Page" Chrome extension gives you control of exactly which links show up on your "new tab" page.
When you install this extension, Chrome will ask "Is this the new tab you were expecting?" Select "Keep changes". This lets the extension replace the default "new tab" page.
