NeatTube

NeatTube is a lightweight, privacy-first extension that declutters YouTube and gives you back control. Enjoy a cleaner, faster, and more focused viewing experience without the noise. FEATURE HIGHLIGHTS: HIDE SHORTS Take back your feed. NeatTube removes Shorts shelves from the Home, Search, and Subscriptions pages, and hides the Shorts tab from the sidebar. You can also choose to automatically redirect Shorts links to the regular video player. FILTER MEMBERS-ONLY CONTENT Declutter your feed by hiding Members-only badges, shelves, and cards. NeatTube uses smart, conservative matching to hide content you can't access without affecting anything else. RESTORE DISLIKE COUNTS Bring back the most useful feedback metric. Displays estimated dislike counts on videos using the Return YouTube Dislike API. It is completely anonymous and does not track your viewing history. PICTURE-IN-PICTURE (Alt+P) Multitask with ease. Instantly pop out the active video into a floating window with a single keyboard shortcut. It uses native performance and now works seamlessly across both YouTube and YouTube Music. AUTO QUALITY SELECTION Set it and forget it. Automatically forces your preferred video resolution (from 144p up to 8K) the moment a video loads. If your preferred resolution is unavailable, it intelligently falls back to the next best option. UI CLEANUP Keep watching without interruptions. NeatTube automatically hides persistent, annoying popups like "Experiencing interruptions? Find out why." — PRIVACY & PERMISSIONS — NeatTube is built with privacy as a priority and requests only the absolute minimum permissions needed: • storage: To save your preferences and sync them across devices. • Host access to youtube.com: To apply your preferences and clean up the UI. • Host access to returnyoutubedislikeapi.com: For anonymous, read-only dislike count fetches. No tabs, webNavigation, or webRequest permissions are requested. No data is collected, stored remotely, or sold. All code runs locally on your machine. Your settings sync across your devices via Chrome Sync and persist across browser restarts.
