The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About MySync
MySync is a lightweight, privacy-first browser extension that syncs your open tabs, bookmarks, and browsing history across all your devices and browsers in real-time. Built to be completely self-hosted, it ensures that your browsing data never touches third-party servers. You are in full control of your data from end to end.
**Key Features:**
* 🔄 **Real-Time Cross-Browser Sync:** Whether you use Chrome on your desktop, Firefox on your laptop, or a mix of both, MySync keeps your active tabs, bookmarks, and browsing history perfectly mirrored in real-time.
* 🛡️ **100% Self-Hosted & Private:** No proprietary clouds, no tracking, and no subscriptions. Run the open-source lightweight Go backend on your own hardware or VPS, ensuring nobody has access to your browsing history except you.
* ⚡ **Lightning Fast Conflict Resolution Powered by WebSockets/SSE:** With polling fallbacks, MySync uses optimistic locking and last-write-wins conflict resolution. It handles sudden network drops or rapid tab changes without breaking a sweat.
* 🔑 **Simple, Passwordless Pairing:** No need to manage complex accounts or passwords. Connect a new browser instantly using a 6-character device pairing code, a CLI-generated invite token, or a secure magic link.
* 💻 **Built-in Device Management:** Easily manage all your connected browsers directly from the extension's options page. Rename devices to easily identify them or instantly revoke access to an old laptop or phone.
**How it works:**
1. Host the lightweight MySync Go server (recommended) or you can use backend hosted on our server (https://mysync.absons.net).
2. Install the MySync extension on your browsers.
3. Generate a one-time invite token from your server to pair your first device or use pair by email to get a magic link.
4. Add your other devices seamlessly using simple 6-digit pairing codes!
*(Note: MySync requires the companion self-hosted server to function. You can find the full setup instructions and open-source server code at the project's repository: https://github.com/absonsnet/mysync)*
