More Than Modes: Chords for YouTube

Learn any song straight from YouTube. Open a song and More Than Modes shows its chords right on the player: the chord that's playing with its shape, the next ones coming up and a line that fills as each chord lasts. Under the video you get a practice studio with the waveform, and beside it the full chord sheet with lyrics. Songs that someone already opened show their chords at once, before you press play. A new song is ready a few seconds after you press play, and its chord sheet keeps growing while you watch. PRACTICE TOOLS • Chord shapes for guitar, bass, ukulele and piano. • Full chord names (m7, maj7, 7, sus4, dim…) or a Simple mode with just major and minor. • Numbers mode: chords as degrees of the key (I, IV, V7, vi). • Change the key: the chords AND the sound of the video move together. Set a capo (1–11) and the shapes change to match. • Split instruments: vocals, drums, bass, guitar, piano and other, each with its own volume, solo and mute, like a mixing desk. Practise along with the band without the guitar, or listen to the bass alone. • Lyrics in sync with the chords on top, a lyrics-only view and a bar-by-bar grid. If a song has no lyrics, the extension can write them for you. Print the chart. • A–B loop from the keyboard ([ and ]), snapped to the beat, or by dragging on the waveform. • Song sections (verse, chorus…) and a metronome locked to the beat. • Jump anywhere by clicking a chord or a line of the sheet. Pause, seek or change speed in YouTube as usual: the chords follow. • Remembers key, capo and loop for every video. • Works in theater mode and full screen, in dark and light themes. FREE Chords, lyrics, transposing and everything else are free with no account. To split instruments you sign in once with Google or your email. PRIVACY The audio of the video is analysed on your own computer and never leaves it. To share chord charts, the extension sends the ID of the YouTube video to More Than Modes; to find lyrics it sends the song title to LRCLIB. If you sign in to split instruments we keep only your email. No ads, no selling of data.
