A gentle pause before checkout, and an honest check-in after. No shame, just data.

About Mindful Spend — Pause Before You Buy
Mindful Spend is a small pause between you and an impulse purchase — not a lecture, not a block, just a moment to think.
How it works
When you land on a cart or checkout page, Mindful Spend asks one question first: is this a need, or a want? Groceries, medicine, bills, essentials — mark it a need and you're done in one click, no further questions. This tool is never meant to slow you down on the things you actually need.
If it's a want, you get a quick pause: an optional amount, an optional mood check ("how are you feeling right now?"), and three choices — buy it, wait 24 hours, or skip it.
If you buy anyway, Mindful Spend checks in with you a day or two later and asks how you feel about it — no judgment, no shame, just an honest 1-to-5 regret score. Over time, that turns into real patterns: which day of the week you tend to buy on impulse, which moods lead to the most regret, and how much of your spending is genuinely necessary versus discretionary.
What makes it different
Most budgeting apps only look backward — they tell you what you already spent. Mindful Spend catches the moment before you spend, which is where behavior actually changes.
Who Mindful Spend Is For:
Anyone living pay-check to pay-check who wants their money to stretch further
People who've caught themselves buying something they didn't actually need
Online shoppers who want a pause built into checkout, not a spreadsheet they have to remember to update
Anyone who wants honest feedback on their own spending, without judgment or shame
People who've tried budgeting apps that only look backward, and want something that catches the moment before they spend
Your privacy
Everything Mindful Spend logs stays on your own device. There's no account, no login, and no server it talks to beyond a one-time check that your license is valid. Nothing is ever sent anywhere else.
