Midlight is a desktop app where you work with AI agents like Claude and Codex. This extension lets those agents use your Chrome, with your sign-ins, when you ask them to. Ask for a form filled, a dashboard checked or a page compared with another, and the agent does it in Chrome while you keep working.
How it works
• The agent works in its own Chrome window, out of your way. It doesn't take over the tab you're reading.
• Want it to use a page you already have open? Hand that tab over from Midlight. It never touches your other tabs.
• Watch what it's doing in Midlight, on this computer or another of yours, and take over or stop it at any time.
• You decide, per Workspace, whether agents can use Chrome at all, on which sites, and when they have to ask first. Midlight never types passwords: signing in stays with you.
Private by design
The extension only talks to the Midlight app on the same computer. It sends nothing to any server and has no analytics. What it reads goes to the AI provider running your chat, as part of the work you asked for, and nowhere else. Details: https://midlight.ai/privacy/#chrome-extension
You need the Midlight app on Windows or macOS. Open Settings → Browser in Midlight to connect. While Midlight is working in a tab, Chrome shows a bar saying an extension is debugging it: that is how Midlight acts on pages, and it goes away when the work is done.
