The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Media Sniper
Image Sniper is now Media Sniper. The extension has been rebuilt from the ground up, and it now downloads video and audio as well as images.
Media Sniper lets you select and bulk download full-resolution images, videos, and audio directly from web pages without opening individual tabs.
How it works:
Press Alt+S on Windows and Linux, or Option+S on macOS, to start sniper mode. You can also click the extension icon. Click images or videos on the page to choose what you want, or Shift-click to select a range. Press Return or click Download when you finish choosing.
Full-resolution retrieval:
Web pages often show compressed previews. Media Sniper locates the source file in the background before starting the download.
Video and audio:
Save MP4, MP3, and HLS streams. A stream downloads as a single MP4 with its audio, in the quality you pick. Downloads keep running after you close the popup.
Toolbar popup:
One tab lists every image on the page, with a size filter. The other lists every video, audio file, and stream the page plays, with thumbnails and file sizes.
Studio:
- Open every image and video from a page in one window. Browse them in rows, in Cover Flow, or on a canvas.
- Click any image to see its color palette in HEX, RGB, HSL, or OKLCH, and copy it as CSS variables, Tailwind colors, or JSON.
Use for:
- Social feeds.
- Image hosts, video sites, and more...
File management:
- Save images in their original format, or convert them to JPG or PNG.
- Save downloads into folders named after the page title, the site, or the date.
- Ignores avatars, user icons, and reaction smilies so you only select content images.
Keyboard controls:
- Alt+S or Option+S opens or closes sniper mode.
(You can change this shortcut in the extension settings.)
- Shift-click selects a range. Cmd+A or Ctrl+A selects everything.
- Return downloads your selection.
- Escape closes sniper mode.
