Markdown New Tab

Turn every new tab into a calm, Markdown-first workspace. Markdown New Tab is a lightweight, distraction-free notepad for capturing quick ideas, tasks, meeting notes, and longer drafts without leaving your browser. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT • Multiple notes, always one new tab away • A quiet, focused interface with no dashboard clutter • Quick Markdown shortcuts for headings, todos, lists, tables, code, quotes, and links • Clickable task checkboxes • Automatic local saving — no account required • Back up each note as a standard .md file in Google Drive • Restore your notes whenever you need them • Standard Markdown keeps your writing portable PRIVACY-FIRST BY DEFAULT Your notes stay in Chrome local storage unless you choose Google Drive backup. Google Drive access uses the drive.file scope, so the extension only manages files it creates. IDEAL FOR Daily notes, scratchpads, checklists, meeting notes, writing drafts, and developers who prefer Markdown.
