About Map Whisperer: AI GIS Assistant for Web Maps
Map Whisperer is an AI GIS assistant that sits beside the web map you are using. It finds the GIS data behind the map, lets you analyse it by asking questions in plain language, and exports the result.
Find the data behind a web map
Open a web map and refresh the page. Map Whisperer detects the GIS services the map uses, such as ArcGIS feature services and WFS, and lists them as a layer catalog in the side panel. Add the layers you want, or import a file of your own.
Ask for the analysis you want
Describe the spatial analysis in plain language and build on each answer:
- Create buffers, then find the features that intersect them.
- Filter parcels by land use, clip them to another layer, and calculate areas.
- Filter attribute rows, calculate new fields, and refine the result.
- Inspect the result on the map or in an attribute table.
Download the result
Export any layer or result as a GeoJSON file, a Shapefile or a spreadsheet. Finding layers and downloading them does not use any questions.
What it works with
Supported sources depend on what the website exposes. Vector services can provide queryable data. Raster and tile layers can provide map context but do not necessarily expose analysable features. This extension does not unlock private data or bypass a site's access restrictions. Map discovery can be blocked by website security policies. Imported files must use WGS84 coordinates.
Pricing
Your first 25 questions are free, with no card needed. Sign in with your email and the code we send you. After that, add 200 questions for US$15, or choose QuickMapTools Pro + AI: US$30 monthly or US$288 annually, including 250 questions each month and the website workspace. Existing QuickMapTools customers sign in with their account email. Working datasets and conversations on the website and extension are separate.
Privacy
Files and spatial calculations stay in your browser. After you enable chat, messages and relevant map context, attributes and analysis results are processed by AI services. Requests require endpoints with a zero data retention policy. See the privacy policy for provider processing and usage/billing records.
