Manhwave: AI Manga & Manhwa Translator

Manhwave is an AI manga translator, manhwa translator and webtoon translator for Chrome. Read manga, manhwa, manhua and webtoons in your language, right on the page where you read them. Translate English scans of manga, manhwa and webtoons, raw Japanese manga, raw Korean manhwa and raw Chinese manhua into 26 languages. Manhwave recognizes the text in speech bubbles on your device, translates it and places the translation over the original with a clean bubble background. No personal AI API key or setup needed. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open a chapter on your favourite reading site (Long strip / vertical scrolling works best). 2. Click the Manhwave icon and choose "Translate this chapter". 3. Start reading. The pages you are looking at are translated first, and a small panel in the corner tells you when you can start reading while the rest of the chapter is translated ahead. MAKE THE TEXT YOURS Choose Manga, Comic or Classic lettering and adjust the text size. Changing the look of an existing translation never uses credits. WORKS ON YOUR FAVOURITE READERS Use it on the manga and webtoon reading sites you already visit, including readers that load pictures only as you scroll. No uploading pages, no copy-pasting screenshots. Chapter-by-chapter translation, with the pages you are reading done first. PRIVACY AND PERMISSIONS Manhwave does not ask for access to all websites. It runs on the tab where you click Translate, and you can optionally let it always run on a site you choose. Text recognition and image cleanup run locally; the recognized text is sent to our service and our AI provider for translation. For target languages with gendered grammar (such as Polish, Spanish or Romanian) a small grayscale preview of the page may be sent with it, only so the AI can choose the right gender and number; it is not stored. Chapter addresses are not sent. To keep reader sites working, the extension reports the site name (no page address) and the outcome of each translation attempt, and if you uninstall, the feedback page receives the extension version, the name of the last site where you tried it, the result of that attempt and a rough count of translated chapters. See our privacy policy for details. WHAT TO EXPECT On first use, models for high-quality background cleanup download in the background. Translation works right away, and cleanup quality improves once the models are ready. Results vary with the website, artwork and layout; translations may contain errors. The extension interface is available in English, Polish, Spanish and Romanian; you choose the translation language separately. Source pages can be in English, Japanese, Chinese or Korean. Raw Japanese pages are supported once the first-run models have downloaded (horizontal and vertical text); very dense vertical text and small furigana may be read less accurately. For raw Korean pages, Manhwave downloads a small Korean reader (13.5 MB) once (automatically on Korean sites, otherwise after asking you), and the first few pages read before it is ready may stay less accurate.
