Translate Japanese manga, Chinese manhua, Korean manhwa and scrolling webtoons in Chrome. Free recognizes Japanese, Chinese and English source text locally, at no cost and with no sign-in required. Advanced uses points for cloud translation, supports more languages, and offers natural dialogue and text layouts designed to fit the original artwork. Translate visible images, a page or a selected area, then compare the result with the original. Optional usage statistics Statistics start automatically for new installations. Existing installations remain off after an update until enabled in Settings. Share event names, a random installation ID, extension version, translation mode, processing stage, fixed error categories and timing. Reading URLs, images, original text and translations are never included. Usage events and feedback expire after 30 days; the installation link expires after 30 days without reports. If enabled, Chrome will open a feedback page after uninstalling. Its random receipt can be linked to these usage events. You can turn statistics off in Settings at any time. Free and Advanced work without sharing. FREE — LOCAL, NO SIGN-IN Free recognizes Japanese, English and Chinese comic text on your device and offers 39 target-language options through Chrome's built-in translation. Available language pairs depend on your desktop browser and device; first use may require model and language downloads. Free does not use Advanced points. ADVANCED — CLOUD TRANSLATION Advanced offers multilingual image recognition, including Japanese, English, Chinese and Korean, and 110 target-language options. It requires sign-in and uses purchased points. Point packs are one-time purchases with no subscription or automatic renewal. Prices and terms appear before payment. Language options do not guarantee recognition accuracy or equal quality across languages. 14 INTERFACE LANGUAGES The interface follows Chrome's language: English, German, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Turkish, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. Other interface languages fall back to English. Interface language, comic source language and translation target language are independent. PRIVACY AND RECOVERY Free processes images and text locally without uploading them to PanelLingo for translation. Loading originals and downloading models still require network access. Advanced requests consent before sending images or crops, text, glossary entries, language choices and task information to PanelLingo's backend and Google AI/OCR services. Completed cloud results are kept for 30 days. Unresolved delivery issues are retained until resolved, then for 30 days. Saved originals and recovery information are also stored on your device. Payment and point records are kept separately. Account, purchase and optional support data are processed when you use those features. Translation point corrections and cash refunds are different processes. See the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy; contact support with task or order details if recovery is needed. BEFORE YOU START Quality depends on image clarity, lettering and language. Some text may remain unchanged. Website compatibility varies, and protected browser pages cannot be translated. PanelLingo does not bypass paywalls or provide a comic catalog. Use content you have permission to access and process. Advanced charges the normal image points for a valid cloud result or a response with verified model costs, including unusable output. Display or layout failures do not automatically return points. Recovering a retained paid result does not call the model or charge again.
