MailViewed - Free Email Tracker for Gmail

Free, unlimited email tracker for Gmail, built privacy-first. No Google permission to read your mail, no message content kept, and no branding on what you send. Grey ticks when a message goes out. Green ticks when it is read. Right inside Gmail, free, no card needed. PRIVACY COMES FIRST ➤ It never asks Google to read your mail Signing in with Google shares your basic profile: name, email address and photo. We keep only the name and email address. Past that, the only Google permission MailViewed can ever ask for is to send mail. Not read it. It is only requested if you use individual copies or Compose. The extension works inside the Gmail tab you have open, which is why Chrome asks to let it run on mail.google.com. There it adds the tracking image, draws the ticks and notices replies. Our servers cannot fetch, search or download your mail, because that access is never requested. ➤ No message content kept, and you can check We keep no message content: no body, no attachments, not even a preview. Every tracked message has a "What we store about this email" panel showing its stored record, field by field. You can see for yourself that no body is in it. ➤ Respect for the people you write to We never turn an IP address into a location, so nobody you write to is placed on a map. Tracking data deletes itself 12 months after sending. We do not sell your data. WHAT ELSE MAKES MAILVIEWED DIFFERENT ➤ No branding, on any plan Some trackers add a "Sent with [their brand]" line on their free plan. Your clients see it, and a personal note starts to look like a campaign blast. MailViewed never shows its name, a badge or a footer. Not on the free plan, not ever. All it adds is an invisible image, and it changes only the links you choose to track. ➤ Opens you can actually trust Apple's privacy proxy, corporate security scanners and prefetch bots load images on their own. Count them all, and a message looks "read" 30 seconds after you send it at 3am. MailViewed checks every single load. Machine opens are labeled and kept out of your counts. Your own views in Gmail on your computer are left out. A lone background refresh from Gmail is not counted as someone coming back. Each message's page lists the bot and scanner opens it filtered, and why. Fewer opens on screen, and a count you can act on. ➤ Works from your phone too Chrome extensions do not run on phones, but your dashboard does. Open app.mailviewed.com, tap Compose, and send a tracked message from your own connected Gmail. It goes out from your address, lands in your Sent folder like anything else you send, and shows up in your dashboard. Every Compose send has a 10 second undo. ➤ Alerts and a full dashboard Desktop notifications when someone opens or clicks. A live dashboard with activity timelines, threads shown as one conversation, link clicks and contact engagement scores. Replies are noticed when you open the conversation in Gmail, with the real reply time. WITH PRO AND OUTREACH ➤ See who opened a group email (Pro) Send a new message to 2 to 10 people in To, or up to 25 on Outreach, and each person gets their own copy from your Gmail, so you see who opened and who did not. It needs a one time, send only Gmail connection. Replies, forwards and anything with Cc or Bcc go out as one normal group message. ➤ Nudges when an opened email gets no reply (Pro) If a real person opened it and MailViewed has seen no reply a few days later, your dashboard reminds you to follow up and shows how many times it was opened. Unopened messages never trigger a nudge, so you chase the ones that were read. A once a day roundup to your inbox is optional. ➤ Your own tracking domain (Outreach) Once your domain is active, your links and opens run on an address under your own domain, like link.yourcompany.com. No other sender uses it. Setup is one DNS record and we handle the certificate. PRIVACY, IN DETAIL What we keep for each tracked message: the subject, the recipients, when you sent it, the links you chose to track, each open and click with its time, IP address and browser, and who replied and when. Compose sends and individual copies pass through our server only to be sent, and are deleted once sent. The extension also tells us when you view something you tracked, so that view is not counted, and when you open a message that another MailViewed user tracked and sent to you, so their receipt can be confirmed.
