The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Loop Page to Markdown
Capture a Microsoft Loop page — body, comments, and threaded replies — as LLM-friendly Markdown. Private, no setup required.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
WHAT IT DOES
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Click the toolbar icon on any Loop page, click Capture & Save .md, choose a save location. Done. The extension reads the Loop page your browser has already loaded — no API keys, no admin setup, no server, no configuration.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
HOW IT CAPTURES
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The extension reads the rendered DOM of the Loop page — the content Microsoft Loop has already fetched and displayed in your browser. It does not call any external API or require any credentials beyond what you already use to view the page.
Before capturing comments, it automatically clicks all "N replies" affordances to expand collapsed threads, so no replies are missed.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
WHAT'S IN THE OUTPUT
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
• Page title as the # heading
• Header metadata: source URL, capture timestamp, comment count
• Full page body: headings, paragraphs, lists, links, images, blockquotes, code blocks, tables
• Comment threads in document order, each with author and timestamp
• Replies as blockquoted blocks under their parent comment
• (edited) markers preserved where present
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
POPUP OPTIONS
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
• Auto-expand collapsed reply threads (on by default)
• Include comments (on by default — turn off for body-only capture)
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
WHY NOT THE GRAPH API?
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Microsoft Loop documents live in SharePoint Embedded containers. The Graph API path requires app-only auth plus a one-time Global Admin PowerShell registration — not viable for a browser extension. The extension sidesteps this entirely by reading what Loop has already rendered. No new permissions, no admin involvement, no per-tenant setup.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
PRIVACY
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
• No telemetry, no analytics, no servers owned by the extension author
• No background service worker
• The extension activates only when you click it
• The resulting Markdown is saved directly to your machine via the OS Save As dialog
• Nothing is sent anywhere outside the Loop page you are already viewing
