The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Local Snippet Manager
Local Snippet Manager lets you save text you type often; email replies, addresses, code snippets, canned responses, signatures, and drop them into any input field on any website with a right-click or a keyboard shortcut.
What it does
- Save unlimited text snippets with a title, right from the toolbar popup.
- Insert a snippet into whatever field you're focused in via the right-click "Insert Snippet" context menu, or open a quick-insert palette instantly with Ctrl+Shift+V (Cmd+Shift+V on Mac).
- Search, edit, and delete snippets from the popup, and back them up or move them between machines with JSON export/import.
- Works everywhere — regular inputs, textareas, and contenteditable fields like rich text editors.
Why install it
- Stop retyping or copy-pasting the same boilerplate all day. Fill out forms, write support replies, or paste standard code faster.
- 100% local and private: everything is stored in your browser's local storage, nothing is ever sent to a server. There are no network requests anywhere in the extension.
- Minimal permissions: it only asks for storage and contextMenus, no tabs, browsing history, or page-scripting access.
- Lightweight, no account, no sign-up, no ads.
