The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About LMK Today
LMK ("Let Me Know") tells you what to do today, not just what's due.
Canvas hands you a wall of deadlines. LMK turns it into one answer: here is what to do today, sized to the hours you actually have. This extension is what connects the two: open your school's Canvas or Brightspace once and your whole semester is there. No password to type and nothing to copy by hand.
It works at your school
Out of the box it reads canvas.asu.edu, any instructure.com address and any brightspace.com address. Many universities run Canvas on their own address instead (canvas.uw.edu, bruinlearn.ucla.edu and others); you can add yours in one step, and Chrome asks you to approve that one address first.
What it does
• Reads your assignments, due dates, submissions and grades from your school's site, in your own signed-in session
• Checks work off when Canvas shows a submission, not when a deadline passes
• Quietly times your work on assignment pages, so its estimates get more accurate each week
• Puts together a morning plan on your own computer
What it never does
• It never submits work or changes your coursework.
• It never asks for your password; it uses the session you are already signed in to.
• By default your assignments stay in your browser, and in your own Google Drive if you sign in with Google.
• Nothing is sold, shared, or used for advertising, and nothing is sent to an AI model.
Optional, and off until you turn it on
• Sync from anywhere (Canvas schools): LMK's server reads Canvas for you so your phone stays current with your laptop closed. To do that the extension creates one access token named "LMK" in your Canvas account; the server stores it encrypted, with a copy of your assignments, under a random id, never your name. Turning it off deletes the token and the copy.
• Keep your phone fresh: each sync is saved to a file in your own Google Drive that only LMK can see.
LMK is free: every feature, for every student. Built by a student. Privacy policy: https://lmktoday.app/privacy.html
