The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About LinkedIn Commute Time
Commute Time for LinkedIn shows how long it takes to get to each job, right on the job card (e.g. 35m or 1h 10m), and keeps track of every job you view or apply to.
COMMUTE TIMES
- Auto-calculate travel times with OpenRouteService (free) or Google Maps.
- Bundled coordinates for 6,500+ cities in 32 countries, so only one route request per city is needed.
- Driving, cycling, walking, or public transit (transit via Google Maps).
- Or upload your own CSV of travel times: no API calls at all.
- Commute badges are color-coded: up to 45 min, up to 90 min, longer.
APPLICATION TRACKER
- Color bar on every job card: green for new, amber for viewed or saved, red for applied.
- Date tags next to LinkedIn's status, e.g. "Applied 28 Sep" or "Viewed 28 Sep ×3". Hover for the full history.
- "Applied before": warns when a job is a repost of one you already applied to.
- "New" tag on jobs you're seeing for the first time, and a ↻ tag on postings that keep showing up for weeks.
- Follow-up reminder: applications turn orange after 14 days and are listed in the popup.
- Export your full history to CSV.
FILTERS
- Right-click any job card to hide a company or add a note to it (e.g. "agency" or "rejected in August"). Notes appear on every job from that company.
- Fade jobs by title words (e.g. senior, lead, german), jobs over your maximum commute, or jobs you already applied to.
PRIVACY
- Your job history, notes, and settings are stored only in your browser. No accounts, no analytics, no tracking.
- When you use Auto-calculate, your home address and the city names are sent only to the routing service you choose (OpenRouteService or Google), using your own API key.
