The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About LensCap — Full Page Screenshot
Capture the web. Keep what matters. LensCap gives you three free ways to capture, a clear screenshot viewer, and useful export choices. Open the editor when you need to mark something up or read text from an image.
THREE WAYS TO CAPTURE — FREE
• Full page: keep a long page in context.
• Visible area: capture the current viewport.
• Selected area: draw a rectangle around the part you need.
• On supported browser-protected pages, capture visible content or select from its pixels. Full-page scrolling is unavailable there.
• Review a capture with zoom, Fit width, and overview controls.
COPY AND EXPORT — FREE
• Copy a screenshot that fits browser clipboard limits.
• Choose Copy to clipboard after capture in Settings to skip the editor. A small confirmation tab copies the PNG; use Open in editor when needed. Failed or oversized copies open the editor with an explanation.
• Save PNG, JPEG, or PDF with a filename and resolution choice. JPEG quality is adjustable, and long images can be saved in complete numbered parts.
• Keep supported captured page links in PDF when useful. Links outside a crop or covered by redaction are omitted; preservation varies by page content.
FOCUSED EDITING — PRO
Crop, solidly redact, highlight, and annotate with text, pen, lines, arrows, and shapes. Choose shape outline or soft fill, then undo or redo your changes. Editing works on the current screenshot and is reflected in export.
TEXT FROM THE SCREENSHOT — PRO
Extract text from the whole screenshot, the visible area, or a selected area. LensCap reads the current edited pixels, including crop and redaction. Review readable paragraphs, correct text, copy it, or save it. Selecting a paragraph highlights its original source on the screenshot. Find can search collected page text and text read from the current image; it tells you when image text must first be read.
LOCAL PROCESSING
Screenshot assembly and text extraction run on your device. LensCap does not upload captured images or extracted text for processing. Optional account and Pro purchase or restore use StudioH online services. Free capture, ordinary copy, and ordinary export do not require an account or billing lookup.
PRACTICAL LIMITS
Browser-protected pages limit capture to supported visible pixels; some pages remain unavailable. Changing layouts, embedded content, animations, and lazy loading can affect full-page captures. Text recognition can make spelling or reading-order mistakes; review it before sharing. Very large exports may be split or limited by browser memory. Captures remain in memory, so save before closing or reloading the preview. PDFs are image-based; searchable PDF text is not included.
One-time LensCap Pro access adds editing, extraction, and Find. Sign in to your StudioH account to buy or restore Pro on your devices. See lenscap.studioh.dev for the current price.
