Leaflight — Reader for Project Gutenberg

Leaflight turns raw Project Gutenberg book pages into a calm, magazine-quality reading experience. Open any Gutenberg HTML book and Leaflight presents a clean 680px column, warm paper background, and careful typography. The original page is never modified. The reader runs in an isolated overlay. What you get - Long-form typography with Charter/Georgia, generous leading, and a spare orange accent - License boilerplate, duplicated titles, and the inline table of contents stripped from the reading view - A hero header with title, author, chapter count, word count, and estimated reading time - A contents drawer built from chapter headings, with in-page jumps - A floating dock for contents, five text sizes, Paper / Sepia / Night themes, and live progress - An auto-hiding masthead that shows the chapter you are in - Reading memory: scroll position is saved per book and restored when you return Works with both older Gutenberg pages and newer builds. Stays off on catalog and search pages.
