The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Kortex NotebookLM: Gemini Notebook Toolkit
Kortex is a NotebookLM Chrome extension, and a Gemini Notebook extension too, since Google renamed the product. Save chats from your AI chat apps as sources in one click. Import web pages, a YouTube playlist or channel, and social media posts. Export chat history, sources and Studio outputs to PDF, Markdown or text. Organize sources into folders and notebooks into collections, keep a prompt library you can drop into any chat box, and do it all from a sidebar that sits next to the page you're reading.
Save AI chats to NotebookLM in one click
• A save button in each AI chat app captures the whole conversation, including Canvas and artifact content.
• Save into a new notebook or an existing one, with your recent notebooks and a search box in the menu.
• Re-sync a saved chat after the conversation moves on.
• Pick a collection, tags and a folder before you save.
Import from anywhere
• Import the page you're on from the sidebar, or right-click any page to save it.
• Highlight & Snipe works like a web clipper: select text, right-click, and send just that passage as a source.
• YouTube: import a YouTube playlist in order, one video, a channel's uploads or a page of search results.
• Social media posts come in with the author and a link back to the original.
• Google Docs: import a doc from its own toolbar and keep synced docs up to date.
• Bulk import: paste a list of links, pick open tabs, fetch items from an RSS feed, upload a CSV, or crawl a page and the pages it links to.
• Domain Router: send pages to the right notebook automatically, based on their URL.
Export NotebookLM chat to PDF and more
• Save chat history: copy a chat, or export it in several formats, including PDF and Markdown. Tick only the messages you want to make a curated briefing, and choose whether to include your questions and the cited sources.
• Download sources as Markdown, text or PDF files, zipped together, and select duplicates in one click.
• Export Studio outputs: notes and reports, slide decks as PDF, infographics and mind maps as images, and Audio and Video Overviews.
• Capture any web page as a full-page PDF.
A toolbar inside every notebook
• One bar under each notebook's header holds its collections, chat copy and export, source download and cleanup, saved source views, Studio output counts and export, and your prompts.
• Add the notebook to a collection, take it out, or create a new collection without leaving the page.
A sidebar next to every tab
• Click the Kortex icon to open Chrome's side panel beside the page: import or capture the page, search your notebooks, start a new one, and put a saved prompt into the page's chat box.
Prompt library
• Keep prompts in color-coded folders with tags and favorites.
• Type ; and a prompt's shortcut in the chat box of a supported AI app to insert it, or press Ctrl+Shift+P (Cmd+Shift+P on Mac) to open your prompts on any page.
NotebookLM folders, collections and tags
• Group notebooks into collections, tag them and star favorites, and move your Kortex collections into Gemini Notebook's own collections.
• Sort sources and Studio outputs into folders.
• Merge notebooks, compare two notebooks, duplicate a notebook, and send selected sources to another notebook.
• Bulk delete sources, and clear out sources that failed to load.
• Reuse setups with notebook, source and note templates.
Dashboard and search
• See every notebook, source and Studio output in searchable tables, and press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K) to jump to anything.
Audio Overviews and podcasts
• Play Audio Overviews, download audio files, and generate new ones as a Deep Dive, Brief, Critique or Debate, in the length and language you choose.
• Turn Audio Overviews into a podcast with its own RSS feed for any podcast app, with cover art and your episode order.
Automation
• Build When → Then rules. When a tag is added, a notebook joins a collection, a title or URL matches, or an Audio Overview is generated, Kortex can file it, tag it, generate audio or a Studio output, add a note, send it to a podcast, or ask a question and save the answer. Rules can also run every hour, day or week.
Also included
• Dark mode, switching between Google accounts, and a switch to turn off any feature or any site's button.
• The dashboard is available in 10 languages.
Kortex is an independent extension and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.
