Knowlite

Knowlite brings your own knowledge base into Chrome. Highlight text on a page, find a relevant article you have added, and reuse saved snippets without switching to an account-based web app. Your knowledge is the source of truth. Knowlite searches your saved articles; it does not generate AI answers or invent instructions when an article is missing. WHAT YOU CAN DO - Build and manage your knowledge base inside the extension, with article titles, answers, keywords, and sources. - Take a short, replayable quick tour with local lookup and snippet practice that leaves your saved workspace unchanged. - Activate Knowlite on a page, highlight text, and look for matching knowledge. - Review possible matches when the wording is uncertain, instead of treating every suggestion as a confirmed answer. - Save reusable snippets and insert them into supported text fields. - Save a knowledge gap when your library does not have what you need. - Export a workspace backup and restore it after reviewing what the import will replace. NO PRODUCT ACCOUNT REQUIRED Manage your knowledge directly in the extension. You do not need to sign in, connect a website account, or use a website lookup workspace. A new workspace starts empty: add your own articles and snippets to make it useful. LOCAL KNOWLEDGE, LOCAL LOOKUP Your knowledge base, snippets, saved gaps, and settings stay in your browser profile. Lookup text is processed locally, without sending it to an AI service or Knowlite's backend for matching. There is no automatic cloud sync. Contacting support is a separate action; do not include sensitive workspace content in a support message. YOU CONTROL PAGE ACCESS Knowlite operates on a page after you activate the extension. It uses selected text and limited nearby context for lookup, not a continuous scan of your browsing. Choose manual lookup or automatic lookup after highlighting on an activated page. Sensitive-page checks and your site blocklist help control where Knowlite runs, but they are best-effort safeguards, not a guarantee that every sensitive page will be recognised. GET STARTED Open Manage knowledge from the extension and add an article and a snippet. On an ordinary webpage, click the Knowlite toolbar icon, acknowledge the privacy notice, highlight a relevant phrase, and click Find. IMPORTANT TO KNOW Match quality depends on your saved knowledge and the wording you highlight. Possible matches need your review; Knowlite is not a substitute for checking the source. Snippet insertion depends on the editor, and some sites or Chrome pages cannot support it. Local content is not encrypted by Knowlite and is not backed up to the cloud. Keep workspace exports somewhere safe: uninstalling the extension or deleting a browser profile can remove data. Updating from the account-based extension preserves its existing extension storage, but does not automatically import account-owned records into the new workspace. Manage knowledge offers a raw recovery export when older extension data is detected; that file is not a normal workspace import. Export older web-workspace content separately while you can still access it. Do not uninstall as an upgrade step.
