The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About KeySync - 2FA Authenticator
KeySync is a local-only 2FA authenticator for Chrome. It generates your TOTP codes on your own device, so you stop reaching for your phone every time you log in.
Works with any service that supports authenticator-app 2FA.
FEATURES
- On-device encryption. Your secret keys are encrypted locally with AES-256-GCM, using keys derived via PBKDF2 (100,000 iterations, SHA-256). Nothing is stored in plain text.
- Import from Google Authenticator. Drop in your export QR screenshot or paste the migration link. Multi-part exports and account selection are supported.
- Backup and restore. Export a JSON backup of your vault anytime, or restore from one. The backup file is unencrypted, so keep it somewhere safe.
- Auto-lock. Lock after 5, 15, or 30 minutes, or on browser close. Active keys stay in memory only and are never written to disk.
- One-click copy. Click any account to copy its current 6-digit code to your clipboard.
- Fast search. Filter by service name or email as you type.
- Adaptive UI. Clean, minimal, and follows your system light or dark mode.
PRIVACY
- No account or login.
- No cloud, no tracking, no analytics.
- Offline-first. Your keys never leave your device.
