About Keepass Cat

Keepass Cat is a lightweight, open-source KeePass browser extension that connects your existing KeePass database (.kdbx) on your WebDAV cloud directly to your browser, enabling password autofill and full entry management — create, read, edit, and delete. You can ditch local KeePass / KeePassXC clients entirely: a browser extension is all you need. Your data lives on your own WebDAV server (Nextcloud, ownCloud, and other WebDAV-compatible services) — it stays yours and is never uploaded to any third party. Core features - One-click autofill: intelligently detects username/password fields and fills them accurately - 4-level URL matching: exact → same-origin → same-domain → regex, ranking the best-matching entry first with a live match count on the icon - Full entry management: create, edit, and delete entries and groups right in the popup, with changes written back to your database - TOTP two-factor authentication: view and copy one-time codes (with a countdown), including editing support - Strong password generator: generate high-entropy random passwords in one click - Clipboard protection: auto-clears copied secrets after a configurable timeout Security & privacy - Your master password is decrypted only in memory (AES-CBC + Argon2 KDF); plaintext is never persisted - Websites and other extensions cannot read your password data - Fully open source and auditable Getting started 1. Configure your WebDAV server in Settings 2. Scan for and select your .kdbx database file 3. Unlock with your master password and autofill on any site
