The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.

About Jumpstart Search

Jumpstart Search powers your address bar: type your query in the omnibox, hit Enter, and get results powered by Yahoo — fast, simple, zero setup. 🔍 WHAT IT DOES • Sets Yahoo as your browser's default search engine • Search suggestions as you type • Works instantly from the address bar — no new UI to learn ⚡ HOW TO USE IT 1. Click the address bar (or press ⌘L / Ctrl+L) 2. Type your search 3. Hit Enter — that's it 🔒 PRIVATE BY DESIGN No accounts, no tracking by this extension, no data collected by the developer. The extension only registers the search provider — your queries go directly from your browser to Yahoo. ↩️ EASY TO UNDO You stay in control: change your search engine back anytime at chrome://settings/searchEngines. 🧩 COMPLETE THE SET Pair it with Jumpstart Newtab — a beautiful, modular new-tab dashboard with search, shortcuts, weather, daily quotes and the Jumpstart Runner mini-game.
