The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Jumpmark Dock
Scoped bookmarks for Chrome: links tied to a page or URL pattern that show up only when you're there.
π§ What is Jumpmark Dock?
Jumpmark Dock is a Chrome extension for managing "scoped bookmarks." Regular bookmarks show the same list no matter which page you're on, but a Jumpmark appears in the popup only when you open the page it was created on (its scope). It's perfect when the links you need depend on what you're working on β a ChatGPT thread, a Notion page, a GitHub issue, and so on.
Background on the idea (in Japanese): https://maepon.blog/about-scoped-bookmark/
π§ Key Features
β View a list of shortcut links tied to the currently open URL
β Add, edit, and delete shortcuts directly from the popup
β Bidirectional links: when you add a link from page A to page B, a link back from B to A can be created at the same time
β Fill in the title and URL by picking one of your open tabs ("Choose from open tabs")
β Add * (a wildcard) to the end of the source URL to widen the scope to every page under it
β The extension icon shows how many shortcuts are in the current page's scope
β If the target page is already open, it switches to that tab instead of opening a new one
β Export your data as JSON, CSV, or HTML, and import it from JSON
β Available in English and Japanese, with dark mode support
π‘ Example Use Cases
β Save links to reference documents or blog drafts for each ChatGPT thread
β Organize related URLs (articles, GitHub issues, etc.) tied to a Notion page
β Keep project bookmarks attached to your own Google Sheets
β Jump from a GitHub repo's deployment page to its live URL
π About Sync
β Data is stored in Chrome's extension storage (chrome.storage.sync)
β When Chrome Sync is enabled:
- Your Jumpmarks are synced through Google's servers to other devices signed in to Chrome with the same Google account
- Existing Jumpmarks become available on your other devices
β When Chrome Sync is disabled:
- Data is kept only in Chrome on this device
π Privacy
β Shortcuts are saved, displayed, and matched within your browser
β The extension never sends data to external servers on its own (except syncing through Google when Chrome Sync is enabled)
β Tab URLs and titles are read only for the features above (showing shortcuts for the current page, the badge count, switching to an already-open tab, and the open-tab list), and are not saved unless you register them as a shortcut
β The list of open tabs is read only when you open it in the add form
β No browsing history is recorded or tracked
