About JOHN CLERGE FileSlim

Ever hit "Max file size: 5MB" with a 15MB file? FileSlim fixes that in one click. HOW IT WORKS 1. Click the FileSlim icon 2. Drop in your file (or several — batch is supported) 3. Type your target size, e.g. "5" MB 4. Click Compress, preview the quality, and download WHAT IT HANDLES - PDF — recompresses the images inside your PDF while keeping text, links, and vector content pixel-perfect. Strips hidden metadata too. - JPG, PNG, WEBP — smart quality search hits your exact target size - HEIC (iPhone photos) and TIFF — converted to JPG automatically - Transparent PNGs keep their transparency (output as WebP) PRIVATE BY DESIGN Everything runs inside your browser. No server, no API, no account, no analytics. Your files never leave your computer, and the extension works fully offline. QUALITY GUARANTEES - Target size mode finds the best possible quality that fits your limit - Never compresses below readable quality — you get best effort plus an honest note instead of an unreadable file - Never corrupts a file: if compression can't help, you get your original back - Shows a preview before you download Right-click any page and choose "Compress file with FileSlim" for quick access.
