The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Japanese Word Replacer
Learn Japanese vocabulary passively while you browse. Japanese Word Replacer
scans the English pages you read and swaps everyday nouns for their Japanese
kanji equivalent — right in the sentence, so you see real vocabulary in
context instead of a flashcard deck.
Hover any replaced word to see:
• Kanji and kana
• Romaji reading
• English meaning
• JLPT level (N5–N1)
How it works
• Pick which JLPT levels you want to practice (N5 through N1) — nothing is
replaced until at least one level is selected.
• Control how many words get replaced per page with a simple slider.
• Block any site with one click from the popup if you'd rather it stayed
English-only.
Everything runs locally. The word list ships with the extension — no page
content, browsing history, or personal data is ever sent anywhere.
Great for JLPT learners who want to build vocabulary recognition through
everyday reading rather than dedicated study sessions.
