Invisibles: hidden character cleaner

Paste text into the side panel to see the hidden characters it contains. Invisibles names each category and code point before you choose whether to clean the text. It can find zero-width characters, non-breaking and look-alike spaces, bidirectional controls, soft hyphens, tag characters, variation selectors, and other non-printing controls. Look-alike spaces become normal spaces; other flagged characters are removed. Optional punctuation normalization is off by default. Privacy and access - No host access: the extension cannot read the pages you visit. - No account, analytics, advertising, or remote service. - Pasted text stays in the side panel, is processed only in memory, and is never stored or transmitted. - The only requested permission is sidePanel, used to open the tool beside the current tab. Invisibles identifies characters, not authorship or intent. Some hidden characters are legitimate, so review the findings before cleaning.
