The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Inline Notes
Inline Notes turns any web page into a place you can annotate.
Select text on a page, hit the toolbar button that appears next to your selection, and attach a colored highlight plus a note (plain text and an optional pasted screenshot). Reopen the page later and your highlights reappear exactly where you left them, with the notes restored — even after the page's content has shifted slightly.
A sidebar lists every note on the current page so you can jump back through your thoughts at a glance.
KEY FEATURES
- Highlight + comment on any page. Four colors, free-form text, paste an image (a diagram, a screenshot) directly into the note.
- Robust re-anchoring. Notes survive most page updates by recording surrounding context, not just character offsets.
- Options page. Cross-page search, host filters, bulk delete, export, per-site disable list.
- Two storage backends, your choice:
• Local — everything stays in your browser. No account, no network.
Free tier supports up to 200 annotations.
• Cloud — sign up at inlinenotes.pro for an API key; annotations
sync to our server so you can use them across browsers and
devices. The key is the only credential held in the extension.
