Image to Text OCR copies text from any image, screenshot or photo on your screen. Draw a box around a picture and its words appear right on top of it, ready to select and copy. The OCR runs on your own computer: nothing is uploaded, and there is no account or sign-up. HOW TO COPY TEXT FROM AN IMAGE • Press Alt+Shift+O, or click the toolbar icon, and drag a box over any part of the page. • The text is recognised in moments and laid over the image, line by line. Select just the words you need, or copy all of it with one click. • Right-click any image and choose "Copy text from this image". • Open an image file, or paste a copied picture, from the toolbar popup. PRIVATE AND OFFLINE The text recognition engine is built into the extension. Your screenshots never leave your device, and no data is collected. Ten languages are included and work with no internet connection at all. 80+ LANGUAGES English, Arabic, Persian, Urdu, Hebrew, French, Spanish, German, Russian and Simplified Chinese are built in. About 70 more, including Japanese, Korean, Hindi, Portuguese, Italian, Turkish, Vietnamese, Thai and Indonesian, download their language data once, the first time you choose them. MADE FOR RIGHT-TO-LEFT TEXT Arabic, Persian, Urdu and Hebrew use high-accuracy models, and lines that mix Arabic with English keep the correct reading order.
