The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Idle Refresh
Idle Refresh automatically refreshes selected websites after a period of inactivity. Set a separate idle timer for each website and choose whether to reload the current page or open a saved destination URL.
FEATURES
• Custom idle timer with quick presets: 3, 5, 7, 10 and 15 minutes.
• Optional destination URL: open a specific page when the timer expires. Leave it blank to refresh the current page.
• Per-website settings saved on your device.
• Live countdown in the extension popup.
• Pause automatic refreshing for 15 minutes or restart the timer.
• Optional background-only mode: refresh only after you switch away from the tab.
• Optional form protection: pause refreshing after you edit a form.
• Optional pause while audio or video plays on the main page.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Open the website you want to configure.
2. Click the Idle Refresh extension icon.
3. Choose the idle time and optionally enter a destination URL.
4. Click Save website settings and grant access to that website.
Clicking, typing, scrolling and touch activity restart the idle countdown. Mouse movement alone does not reset it.
PRIVACY
Settings and configured URLs are stored locally on your device. Idle Refresh does not send them to external servers or use analytics. Website access is requested when you enable a website.
PLEASE NOTE
Background tab throttling or sleeping tabs can delay refreshes. Browser-internal pages do not support the extension.
Form protection is optional and disabled by default. When enabled, it pauses after a form edit until the page is reloaded or navigated away from; it cannot detect whether a form was successfully saved.
Idle Refresh does not guarantee that a website will keep you logged in or prevent session expiration.
