About HonestStars: Fake Review Checker for Amazon & Walmart
Fake review checker for Amazon, Walmart and more. HonestStars grades the customer reviews on a product page so you can decide how much to trust the stars.
A small badge appears beside the rating. Open it to see a grade, the three main reasons behind it, and a short digest of what reviewers actually mention (for example "Lid leaks, 12 of 60 reviews"). Every grade shows how many reviews were read and which version of the method produced it.
WHAT YOU GET
- A review grade from A to F, always a letter and a word (for example "B, Mostly genuine"), never colour alone
- Three plain-language reasons with numbers, each tied to evidence you can inspect
- An adjusted rating next to the listed one, where there is enough data
- An owner digest: recurring themes in the reviews that passed the checks (defects, fit, durability)
- Size and fit notes drawn from what reviewers say
- Right-click any product link to check it without opening it
- Grade chips on search results
- Share a grade as a link or an image
- History of your checks and a watchlist of saved products
- "Not graded" under 5 reviews instead of a guess; a low-confidence rough-guide grade (never above B) for 5 to 19 reviews
WORKS ON
Amazon and Walmart automatically. Shopify stores and other online shops: click the toolbar button to check that page. Chrome asks for access to that one site, only when you choose.
HOW IT WORKS
HonestStars looks at what you can see on the page: how the star ratings are distributed, how reviews cluster in time, how many are verified purchases, how similar the wording is, and how much history the reviewers have. Eight signals, published weights, versioned method, and the same input always gives the same grade. A review analyzer, not a seller verdict: we grade the reviews, never the seller.
PRIVACY
- Free, no ads, no affiliate links, no link rewriting, and we never sell data
- Only anonymised review text, ratings, dates, verified-purchase flags, reviewer statistics and the product ID are sent for analysis. Reviewer names, your identity, your cart, your order history and your other tabs are not.
- Amazon and Walmart run automatically. Any other store asks for access to that one site, only when you choose, and you can take it back at any time.

FREE, WITH A FREE ACCOUNT AFTER 5 CHECKS
Your first 5 checks need no account. After that, a free account (Google or an email link) keeps them going.
LIMITS, STATED PLAINLY
- A grade is an automated statistical opinion about the reviews on a page. It can be wrong, and stores change their pages, which can stop a check from working.
- It does not tell you whether to buy, and it does not accuse any seller or brand of anything.
- Some stores limit how many reviews are visible without signing in. We read only what your own browser can see, at a human pace, and stop at a login wall or CAPTCHA.
- If you think a grade rests on a factual error, use the public correction form on our site.
