HN Tabs — Hacker News New Tab

Make your new tab a simple, card-based Hacker News reader. Switch between Top stories, Show HN, Ask HN, Jobs, and Launch HN. Each category loads up to 100 posts when you open it, so your new tab shows one feed at a time. Your last selected tab and light/dark theme are remembered. • Open the original article from the title or Visit link. • Open the Hacker News discussion from the speech bubble and comment count. • Search the current feed by title or author. • Sort by score, newest, title, or comment count. • Browse with light or dark mode and keyboard-accessible category tabs. • Refresh just the active feed, with locally cached stories between visits. • Jobs includes individual job posts and the latest monthly hiring discussion. HN Tabs replaces Chrome’s new-tab page. It uses the public Hacker News API and Algolia’s Hacker News search. No registration, ads, or analytics are included. Unofficial project. Not affiliated with Hacker News or Y Combinator.
