The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About HasTrust — scam & price check
HasTrust is your second opinion right before you pay. It runs quietly while you
shop and speaks up only when it matters.
On a normal, safe store you get a calm green check. On a risky one — a brand-new
lookalike domain, a site with no valid HTTPS, a seller with a wall of scam
reports — you get a clear warning before you reach checkout, not after your
money's gone.
One click opens the full picture:
• Trust score built from public reviews, complaints and scam reports
• HTTPS certificate and domain age
• Third-party ratings (Trustpilot, BBB, Sitejabber, ScamAdviser and more)
• Community trust votes from other shoppers
• For product pages: the live price, plus cheaper or better alternatives
• Ask about this shop: type "can I return it?" or "is it safe to pay?" and get
the answer from the check itself — returns, contact details, company, domain
age, delivery reports. The AI only picks the topic; it writes nothing.
• On a risky shop, one click to safer places to buy the same thing
• Right-click any message to scan it for scam tactics — including hidden
instructions meant to fool scam checkers
HasTrust is built to respect your privacy. While you browse it reads only the
page's domain (e.g. example.com) to look up a verdict — never the full URL, page
contents, your cart, or any personal data. The full product URL is sent only when
you click "Check this product" yourself, and even then with tracking parameters
stripped. No accounts, no tracking cookies, nothing sold.
How HasTrust is funded: the extension itself contains no affiliate links — it never
inserts links into the sites you visit and never touches your cookies. Some pages on
hastrust.com (which the extension can open, e.g. "Safer places to buy") link to shops
through affiliate programs (Awin, Amazon Associates) that may pay us a commission
when you buy, at no extra cost to you and never affecting a score. Those links are
labelled on the page.
Free. Works on Chrome, Edge, Brave and Firefox.
