GRIP! — download photos, videos and music from popular sites

No separate downloader pages, no link copying, no extra services. The button appears inside the website interface near the usual controls. It is designed to feel native: same place, same size, no extra visual noise on the page. WHAT IT DOES The extension works on ten supported sites. Below is what it saves on each of them. On VK, the extension helps you save music, videos, and photos. It can download music from VK: individual tracks, albums, and playlists. It can also save videos and images from pages where the browser can access the media file. A whole photo album now downloads with a single button instead of one picture at a time. On Yandex Music, the extension helps you save tracks, albums, and playlists. For example, you can download tracks from Yandex Music or save an album or playlist as a list. When the information is on the page, the file can be saved together with title, artist, album, year, track number, genre, and cover art. Lyrics can also be saved as a separate file, including a synchronized (karaoke) version. In your own collection of saved albums you can tick just the albums you want and download only those. On Instagram, the extension adds buttons for saving photos and videos where the page supports it. On Pinterest it saves pins; on Behance, project images and GIFs. On Vibeo (the original site's name has been changed to a similar-sounding one!) the extension saves the video from the player, including a player embedded on someone else's page. On Boosty you can download videos from posts (with a subscription, of course). RuTube: the download button is built into the player both on the site itself and in an embedded player on someone else's page. The same on OK.ru — a video download button on the site's own watch pages and inside an embedded player. And Mail.ru video (my.mail.ru): the download button appears in the player on a watch page and in an embedded player. HOW IT WORKS 1. Install the extension. 2. Open a page with media on a supported site. 3. Click the save button added by GRIP! 4. The file appears in your browser downloads. WHY IT'S CONVENIENT • Free. No ads, no subscriptions, no premium accounts. • The buttons are placed directly in the site's interface, so you do not need to copy links or open a separate website. • Music files can be saved with metadata — title, artist, album, year, track number, genre, and cover art — when this information is available. Lyrics can also be saved as a separate file, including a synchronized (karaoke) version. • Video is saved as an ordinary MP4 that opens in common video players. When subtitles are saved together with the video, the file is downloaded as an MKV — also an ordinary format, opened by VLC or Media Player Classic, for example. • Subtitles uploaded by the video's author are saved inside the file, on VK and RuTube. Automatic machine-generated captions are skipped. • When a VK video has several dubbed soundtracks, all of them are saved into one file, and you can switch between the tracks right in your player. • You can turn save buttons on or off separately for each supported site. PRIVACY • No telemetry, no analytics, no tracking. • Settings and recent download history are stored only on your device. • Nothing is sent to the developer or to any third-party analytics service. • Media files are downloaded directly from the source site. LIMITATIONS GRIP! does not bypass paid access, private content restrictions, or website access rules. If a website changes how it serves media, some features may temporarily stop working until the extension is updated. The extension is intended for personal use. Please respect the rules of each website and applicable law. FROM THE AUTHOR GRIP! is an independent project made by one developer. I originally built it for myself, then decided to publish it because it may be useful to others too.
