The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Grab — Tab Audio Recorder
Grab records the audio playing in any browser tab and saves it straight to your computer as a WAV file — no software to install, no account, no upload.
USE IT FOR
- Grabbing reference audio or samples from a browser-based synth or plugin demo
- Saving audio from Spotify Web Player, YouTube, or any streaming tab
- Capturing a webinar, podcast, or voice memo playing in a tab
- Any time you need a quick, clean recording of what's playing in Chrome
HOW IT WORKS
1. Click the Grab icon and hit Record
2. Browse normally — the tab keeps playing audibly while it records
3. Click Stop and your WAV file lands in Downloads, already named by tab title and timestamp
WHY GRAB
- One click to start — no setup, no configuration
- Producer-ready WAV output, uncompressed and unmodified
- Files auto-organized by tab name and timestamp, so you're never digging through "audio (37).wav"
- 100% on-device processing — audio never leaves your computer, nothing is uploaded anywhere
- No account, no sign-up, no tracking
LIMITS
Grab can't capture audio from restricted Chrome pages (chrome:// URLs) or the Chrome Web Store itself, and recordings are capped at 3 hours.
Grab is free to use. A Pro version with AIFF export for DAW workflows is in development.
