The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.

About Gmail Chat Notification Toggle

Tired of Google Chat notifications popping up when you're trying to focus? This extension adds a single toggle button to your browser toolbar that instantly turns Chat notifications on or off — no digging through Chat Settings > Notifications every time. Click the extension icon, see your current status at a glance, and flip it with one click. Your setting is remembered by Chrome, so it stays off (or on) until you change it again. Lightweight, no tracking, no data collection — it only controls the browser's notification permission for chat.google.com.
