The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About GlobeScope: Earth & Landmarks
GlobeScope: Earth & Landmarks is a fully offline geography learning tool that runs entirely inside the extension.
What you can do:
- Drag and zoom a real WebGL globe rendered in the extension page
- Browse 30 world landmarks by continent or type
- View coordinates, city, country, and a fact card for each landmark
- Select any two landmarks to display a great-circle arc and approximate distance
- Toggle the latitude/longitude grid and auto-rotation
Controls: Drag — Rotate · Scroll — Zoom · Click — Select landmark
No Google Maps, no map tiles, no satellite imagery, no remote code. All landmark data and rendering code are bundled in the extension package.
Note: The 3D globe is a schematic visualization for geography learning. Distance results do not represent actual travel routes.
